Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome. Faye, William and I had a lovely weekend and have enjoyed experiencing Hafod and the area. It was great to meet so many welcoming people and to be part of the restoration of the church. We love this cottage and don't want to leave.

What an absolutely wonderful cottage. Our favourite discoveries were Hafod - especially the Cavern Cascade, and swimming in the river/pools down by the picnic site near Mrs Jones' garden; We also found some lovely food at Cwtch in Pontrhydygroes, and the Riverbank Cafe in Tregaron. It was a delight to meet Mary who has such a wealth of knowledge about the local area and its history. Thank-you, Thank-you.

A peaceful, relaxing visit again to see out the old and see in the new in tranquil surroundings. Good walking in between the showers and plenty of wildlife around. Greater spotted woodpecker, nuthatches, blue tits, great tits, coal tits, long-tailed tits, kites, buzzards and a badger. Looking forward to return visit in March.

Yet another fantastic week! Mountain biking, mountain hiking, horse-riding, fishing, lead-silver mine history, watching red kites, butterfly house - and that was just Eleri's week (nearly 4 years old!). We all love this place, a wonderful place to relax and recharge in wonderful surroundings. Thank you (as ever) for your hospitality Mrs Raw. Until next time.

Our first stay at Esgair Wen and first time in Wales. Seems like we couldn't have picked a better place. Amazing surroundings, beautiful little cottage and loved waking up to the views out of the bedroom windows and the sheep pottering around outside. Will definitely be back soon.

Sean, Cathy, Reece and Lucy Matheson

We have lost count of our holidays in Esgair Wen with each one we discover something different here! A super week, the weather was kind to us and we spent our time doing the usual walking, fishing, wildlife spotting, relaxing and catching up with Mary, Claire and James. One of our favourite places and we have passed the love onto our children. Reece, now 17 loved being able to go off up the leat on his mountain bike and Lucy, now 14 was happy to relax in and near the stream. The cottage was as super as ever. Thank you Mrs Raw, the children couldn't believe the addition of Wi-Fi! Hope to see you all again very soon.

Our first stay at Esgair Wen and a wonderful one it has been. We couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome from Mary on our arrival and her hospitality really made our visit. A lovely comfortable and homely cottage in a beautiful setting. We look forward to our next visit.

P.S. Great 'Pooh' sticks bridge and the hares are amazing - could watch them all day.

The Hammond Family

Had an amazing week, fantastic welcome with tea and home-made scones. Thank you so much Mary for making us feel so at home. Absolutely beautiful cottage in such a picturesque spot. Enjoyed sitting outside in the morning with a coffee watching the lambs and the beautiful birds. On a clear night the sky is breathtaking. Would definitely recommend a stay here to anyone. Perfect place to escape and relax. We will definitely be back.
